Banh Mi Factory, the family-run Vietnamese eatery at 1/235 Zillmere Road, has taken out Queensland’s best banh mi in the 2026 QLD Day All the Best competition — and for locals living in Bracken Ridge, the state’s best banh mi is only a short drive south away.
Winners were announced on 3 June across 15 categories, with more than 74,000 Queenslanders casting votes statewide. Banh Mi Factory’s win puts a north Brisbane local at the top of a category that drew entries from across the state, and puts one of the competition’s most popular results squarely in the neighbourhood.
The shop has a 4.8 Google rating across hundreds of reviews and has been drawing regulars since its early days as a market stall long before the bricks-and-mortar store on Zillmere Road opened.
A banh mi worth the trip
The house banh mi comes on a crunchy baguette with housemade mayo, pâté, pickled carrots and cucumber, with fillings from chicken, beef, pork, tofu or mixed. The Friday crispy pork special has become a fixture for regulars who plan their week around it.

The pho uses a 24-hour broth. Everything is priced honestly and served quickly even during the lunch rush that starts building well before midday.
Rice paper rolls, rice bowls and noodle salads fill out the menu. The shop is child-friendly, accessible and offers both dine-in and takeaway.
Banh Mi Factory at 1/235 Zillmere Road is open Monday to Saturday from 7am to 3pm, closed Sunday. Phone (07) 3061 5067 or visit banhmifactory.com.au. A second location operates at 10 Austin Street, Newstead.
