A 67-year-old man arrested in Bracken Ridge has been charged with 34 offences over alleged historical sexual assaults, with police continuing to seek information from anyone who may be able to assist the investigation.
Bracken Ridge Arrest Follows Police Investigation
The man was arrested in Bracken Ridge on Friday, 14 August following an investigation by the Boondall Child Protection Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Sexual Crimes Unit.
Police allege he sexually assaulted five girls between the early 1970s and late 1980s. The girls were in their pre-teens and teens at the time and were allegedly known to him.
Several of the alleged offences occurred at a bakery in North Brisbane where police allege the man was employed.
The matter was first reported to police on 24 May 2025. Detectives established Operation Xray Cyder, which led to the Bracken Ridge arrest.
Man Faces 34 Charges
The 67-year-old has been charged with 34 offences, including five counts of rape and multiple counts of indecent treatment involving girls under 16 and 17.
The charges also include two counts of threatening violence and one count of deprivation of liberty relating to alleged unlawful detention or confinement.
Police bail was refused and the man was remanded in custody. He is due to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on 28 September.

Boondall CPIU Detective Senior Sergeant Derek Harris said investigations remained ongoing and urged anyone with information that may relate to the matter to come forward.
