A regular coffee run has helped raise nearly $3,500 for The Prince Charles Hospital, with a Bracken Ridge cafe combining small donations from customers with a recurring contribution from its coffee sales over six months.

Three Wise Monkeys Cafe directed $1 from every coffee sold on designated Thursdays to The Common Good, the fundraising initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation. Customers could also support the effort by putting money into a collection box kept at the cafe’s counter.
The fundraising total reached nearly $3,500 after 17 Thursday donation days and six months of collecting contributions from customers, according to a November 1 post published on the cafe’s Facebook page. The money was subsequently handed over to The Common Good at The Prince Charles Hospital in connection with its 2026 Giving Day.
A Coffee Purchase With a Purpose

The initiative gave customers an opportunity to contribute to hospital fundraising through an ordinary purchase, with the cafe setting aside part of its coffee sales on the designated days. The collection box provided another avenue for people who wanted to add a separate donation. Both streams were included in the final amount announced by the business.
Cr Sandy Landers also acknowledged the initiative in a Facebook post, recognising Ti and the cafe’s contribution to the hospital fundraising effort. Cr Landers reported that the coffee donations and money collected at the counter had exceeded $3,000 over six months. The cafe’s November 1 announcement placed the combined total at nearly $3,500.
The initiative was built around repeated contributions rather than a single fundraising event. Across 17 designated Thursdays, each participating coffee sale generated a $1 donation, while the counter collection allowed customers to contribute independently of their purchases.
Where the Fundraising Money Will Help

The cafe’s contribution came alongside a wider fundraising campaign for The Prince Charles Hospital. The Common Good announced that its sixth annual Giving Day had raised $205,150, bringing together donations from community members, hospital staff, corporate partners and other supporters.
The funds are intended to support patient-focused initiatives, including Comfort Packs for vulnerable patients who arrive at hospital without personal belongings. The packs contain everyday essentials and items intended to provide additional comfort during a hospital stay.
Another initiative identified in the Giving Day campaign is a Laughter Care pilot program for older patients. It will use humour, music and storytelling to support emotional wellbeing and social connection.
The fundraising organisation also supports medical research, equipment and additional patient-care initiatives at the hospital. The $205,150 Giving Day result is separate from the nearly $3,500 raised through Three Wise Monkeys Cafe. The cafe’s contribution formed part of the broader community support surrounding the campaign.
A Bracken Ridge Business Takes Part

Three Wise Monkeys Cafe operates at Bracken Ridge Plaza on Telegraph Road, where its centre listing describes an offering that includes all-day breakfast, lunch and Campos Coffee.
Its fundraising initiative added a charitable component to the cafe’s regular coffee sales, giving customers a direct way to support a hospital cause through their visits. Ti and the cafe team acknowledged the people who bought coffee, contributed to the collection box or did both, crediting their participation in helping reach the final amount.
